What is a medical courier?

Medical couriers pick up, transport, and deliver healthcare products. Due to the medical nature of the packages they are responsible for delivering, medical couriers are required to go through additional training to ensure they are trained to properly handle protected health information (patient data) as well as any potentially hazardous materials (i.e. blood, plasma, used needles, human specimens).
